JULIA'S ENGLISH CLUB - Now history... but what an enjoyable history! Or rather, HERstory. Read on those who want to know what is USED TO BE like.
  Every Saturday our students and anybody speaking our favourite language (English that is) come together at 4 p.m., full of sensible and crazy ideas, for a 2-hour chat-and-games session. Originally we're just like ordinary people you may meet in the street, but everyone who's already been among us is prepared to change - social roles are so flexible and one can become whoever on earth - form a 2-year old baby to the President Of the Moon.
Every newcomer will be heartily greeted with our special Club Greeting and will feel at ease and at home at once.
And - what will be going on? Lots of things!
One day we spoke about COLOURS - since then we can make ourselves clear even without words: a phrase like "I'm yellow today!" is translated from the Clubbish as "I'm in the highest spirit".
The other day we created our own FAIRY TALES, looked for a goblin ring, beating our way through the labyrinth. Then we decided to try something unusual. We are still in that stream for now, I guess. The first of our series of unusdual discussions and a role-play concerned SADISTS AND MASOCHISTS, and we finally found out who we are or who we could be. Do not worry - that was turned into a joke! Some just enjoyed the possibility to discuss thing out of order. And believe it or not, those who happened to be just normal everyday people in this fair share of social roles (we just pulled our roles out of the basket - written on slips of paper) were a bit disappointed+ ; )
In a week there came the strategy of FIRST DATES, LOVE AND ROMANCE - one of our favourite subjects. And it was discovered that in the USA they are very experienced in the art of seduction, John (our native speaker, one of the club animators) taught us some formulae of how to seduce! Every weekend brings something fresh, as you may have noticed.
In a few days we'll talk about MAGIC. Tricks, Real magic, Divinations (fortune telling), Enchanting, voodoo dolls fabrication, a sceptical approach to magic - who could know what we'll invent! But it is going to be lots of fun, for sure!

Creative stuff, writing stories and poems together.
Drinking tea with cookies and having a realy good time.
